CITY SCANNING SESSION FESTIVAL, which takes place in Ivano-Frankivsk every two years.
The event is preceded by project work (analysis of the socio-spatial environment of the city) - to determine current topics, locations, working formats with which curators and teams work directly during the festival.
URBAN LABORATORY in learning-research- design format.
That allows an interdisciplinary team of participants - residents of Ivano-Frankivsk - together with curators to study an important issue for the life of the city, space, and more.
The laboratory lasts two months and consists of a number of stages: research, analysis, search for probable solutions and design, experiment, implementation of developed solutions/projects, and replication of effective approaches. The result can be both specific products (architectural, design, etc.) and recommendations for urban research, based on the organizational and research experience of the laboratory.
RESIDENCE - a study of a specific urban issue/location in Ivano-Frankivsk.
With the participation of a Ukrainian or/and foreign expert. Among the purposes of the residence: to analyze the outlined topic; collect data on the local context; involve the local professional community and residents; to give an independent view on the researched question; to test new tools and approaches in studying the city; implement projects in accordance with the theme of residences.
